  • Is the “Save up to $60 on an Annual Pass Online” offer available with FlexPay?
  • Yes, this offer is available for all new purchases of an Annual or Season Pass, including on FlexPay. Savings will be applied equally across your 11 monthly payments after initial down payment.


  • If I’m already on FlexPay can I receive this new price?
  • No, this offer is for new purchases only and does not apply to existing contracts nor to month-to-month payments after year 1.


  • If my FlexPay pass is expiring during the promotional period, can I auto-renew into the promotional rates?
  • No, if your pass will be expiring during the promotion window, you would need to opt-out of the month-to-month renewals and re-purchase with a new minimum one year contract to receive the new promotional rate. This new promotional rate will not apply to month-to-month payments after year 1.


  • What are the terms & conditions of my FlexPay™ monthly membership?
  • If you purchased an Annual Pass with FlexPay before December 17, 2018, accepted an offer to opt-in to our FlexPay monthly membership program, and are now a monthly member after your initial 12-month term, click here to review the terms and conditions of your FlexPay™ monthly membership, which are subject to change:

    • Silver Pass (FlexPay™ Monthly)
    • Gold Pass (FlexPay™ Monthly)
    • Platinum Pass (FlexPay™ Monthly)

  • I disabled the auto-renew option but the account page is still showing that a cost for next month past when my pass expires.
  • If you have disabled the auto-renew option for an account, then you will not be charged past the expiration of your current pass term.  There is a system limitation on the account page that displays the next month regardless of status.  We apologize for the confusion this may cause.

  • How do I know when my pass expires with the month-to-month membership?
  • Your expiration date is based on your monthly billing date.  So if you are billed on (for example) May 4, then if you cancelled your account, your last day to visit would be on May 3. When you do not cancel before the end of your monthly billing period, you are billed again on your monthly billing date, and your pass remains active through the day before your next monthly billing date.


  • How does month-to-month pricing work? Can the price change?
    • The month-to-month cost of your Annual Pass(es) is based on an initial monthly payment equal to 1/12 of the then-current annual retail rate for your individual pass type (which may be rounded up to the nearest dollar). There is no additional down payment required.
    • At any time, should the retail price of your pass type change, you will be notified in advance to ensure you aware of any changes to future payments. You can cancel at any time with no penalty, effective at the end of your then-current monthly renewal term.
    • For current pricing, monthly payments would be as follows for a single pass:
      • Silver Annual Pass = $15.75/mo ($189 retail)
      • Gold Annual Pass = $26.58/mo ($319 retail)
      • Platinum Annual Pass = $51.58/mo ($619 retail)

  • I want to sign up for FlexPay™, but I don’t want auto-renewal. What can I do?
    • Auto-renewal is a standard term for all new FlexPay™ contracts, but once you set up your FlexPay™ account at https://ush.recurly.com/account/login, you can simply disable the Auto-Renewal option at any time to turn off this feature.  If you have purchased Annual Passes with FlexPay™ in multiple transactions, you have a FlexPay™ account containing the Annual Pass(es) purchased in each transaction.  You may elect to disable to the Auto-Renewal option for one or more of your accounts.  If you wish to disable the Auto-Renewal option for more than one account, be sure to take action individually on each account.

  • Does FlexPay™ have auto-renewal?
  • Auto-renewal means that at the end of the initial 12-month term of your Annual Pass, if you purchased your Annual Pass with FlexPay™ on or after December 17, 2018, you will be automatically enrolled on a month-to-month basis, paying a new initial monthly rate based on 1/12 of the then-current annual retail rate (which may be rounded up to the nearest dollar).  You membership will continue for as long as your payments are in good standing, or until you choose to cancel your membership, effective at the end of the initial 12-month term (if cancelled in the first 12 months) or at the of the then-current monthly renewal term (if cancelled after the first 12 months).


  • Can I cancel my FlexPay™ Annual Pass? How?
    • You are welcome to pay off your balance in full in advance. However, when purchasing your Annual Pass with FlexPay™, you are agreeing to a contract that states you’ve agreed that you may not cancel during the initial 12-month term.
    • Separate from your first year commitment, you may disable the auto-renewal feature, which will be effective at the end of the initial 12-month term, and once you have a month-to-month FlexPay™ account (starting only in year 2), you may cancel at any time effective at the end of the then-current monthly renewal term.  To disable the auto-renewal feature or cancel your month-to-month FlexPay™ account, you need to visit your FlexPay™ account page (https://ush.recurly.com/account/login) and disable the Auto-Renewal option (year 1) or select the cancellation option (year 2 or later).  You may also call 1-866-254-8275 for assistance.  If you have purchased Annual Passes with FlexPay™ in multiple transactions, you have a FlexPay account for the Annual Pass(es) purchased in each transaction.  If you wish to disable the Auto-Renewal option (year 1) or cancel (year 2 or later) for more than one account, be sure to take action individually on each account.

  • Can I renew my FlexPay™ Annual Pass?
  • For purchases starting December 17, 2018, auto-renewal is a standard feature of FlexPay™.  The benefit of this program is that after your first year, your Annual Pass will remain active with an initial monthly payment that converts to 1/12 of the then-current annual retail rate of your current pass (which may be rounded up to the nearest dollar).  There is no additional down payment required.  You have the option to cancel this feature at any time with no penalty, effective at the end of the initial 12-month term (if cancelled in the first 12 months) or at the of the then-current monthly renewal term (if cancelled after the first 12 months).


  • What is FlexPay™?
    • FlexPay is the name of Universal Studios Hollywood’s monthly payment option to purchase an Annual Pass. This program gives guests the choice to enter a contract whereby instead of paying the entire cost at one time, they can make a first month’s initial down payment, followed by 11 monthly payments of a lower amount.  (Down payment varies by pass type.  As of 3/7/19 down payments will be $119 for Silver, $144 for Gold, and $249 Platinum.  Monthly payment also varies by pass type purchased.)  There is no added finance cost (i.e 0% APR) or credit check required.  Purchasing a pass for the full price upfront is also still an option.
    • As of Dec 17, 2018, FlexPay includes Auto-Renewal standard on all new contracts. This means at the end of the initial 12-month term the FlexPay Pass Member’s pass will continue to renew monthly on an ongoing basis until the Pass Member cancels it. No new down payment is required.  Members have the option to cancel this feature at any time, effective at the end of the initial 12-month term (if cancelled during the first 12 months) or at the end of their then-current monthly term (if cancelled after the first 12 months). Payments initially convert to a monthly cost of 1/12 of the then-current annual retail rate of their current pass (which may be rounded up to the nearest dollar).
    • All FlexPay Pass Members with an active pass who purchased their pass prior to Dec 17, 2018 have the option to opt-in to this new month-to-month auto-renewal plan. To do so, members need to visit their FlexPay account page and select the Auto-Renewal option no later than 30 days past the expiration date of their current pass.  Once selected, members can still cancel at any time, effective at the end of the initial 12-month term (if cancelled during the first 12 months) or at the end of their then-current monthly term (if cancelled after the first 12 months). (Cancellation details later in this FAQ)

    If you have purchased Annual Passes with FlexPay in multiple transactions, you have a FlexPay account for the Annual Pass(es) purchased in each transaction.  If you wish to take action for more than one account, be sure to take action individually on each account.


  • How do I choose FlexPay™? How does FlexPay™ work?
    • In order to choose the FlexPay option, you must purchase a Silver, Gold or Platinum Annual Pass online at UniversalStudiosHollywood.com. (This option is not available at the Front Gate, through 3rd party sellers, or for any Season Pass that may be available otherwise.)
    • After you’ve selected your Annual Pass to purchase, you will be given the option to pay in full or through FlexPay during the check-out process.
    • If you select FlexPay, you will be required to review and agree to the terms & conditions required to enter this contract. After agreement, you’ll go to the final check-out where you’ll be charged a first month’s initial payment for each pass purchased. As of 3/7/19 that initial payment will be $119 for each Silver, $144 for each Gold, and $249 for each Platinum Pass.  Your credit card will then be automatically charged a lower amount each month for 11 months starting in month two.
    • You’ll need a valid credit card, but this purchase does not require any additional credit check.
      • FlexPay does not accept cash payments or PayPal
      • A United States billing address is required
    • Your total initial payment plus monthly payments will equal the total listed price of your selected Annual Pass. There is no additional finance charge.

    If you purchase an Annual Pass with FlexPay on or after Dec 17, 2018, at the end of the 12 month term, your pass will continue to renew monthly on an ongoing basis until you cancel it.  No new down payment is required. Monthly payments beginning after the end of the initial 12 month term will initially convert to a monthly cost of 1/12 of the then-current annual retail rate for your Passes (which may be rounded up to the nearest dollar).  Once enrolled, your Pass will remain active until you choose to cancel. Cancellation becomes effective at the end of the initial 12-month term (if you cancel during the first 12 months) or at the end of the then-current monthly renewal term (if you cancel after the first 12 months).  After cancellation is effective, your pass will no longer be active.


  • Can I purchase an Annual Pass at the Front Gate ticket booths with FlexPay™?
  • FlexPay™ is only available for purchase online using your desktop or mobile device. Our ticket sellers are not set up to be able to conduct this transaction at our ticket booths.


  • Will you be checking my credit? (I don’t want my credit score affected.)
  • We do not check your credit score.


  • What is the interest rate you’re charging with the monthly payments? How much more does it cost to use the FlexPay™ option?
  • There is no added finance charge. The total price of your Pass for the initial 12-month term will be the same as if you paid to purchase it all at one time.  This is just an option to spread the first year payments for those guests who prefer to budget differently.


  • What can I purchase with FlexPay™?
    • If you purchase on UniversalStudiosHollywood.com, you will be offered the FlexPay option with the Silver Annual Pass, Gold Annual Pass, and Platinum Annual Pass.
    • Not available through FlexPay are any other Season Pass, VIP, Universal Express, or any general admission ticket.

  • What is the FlexPay™ down payment for a Silver Pass? Gold Pass? Platinum Pass?
    • Your initial payment is $119 per Silver Pass, $149 per Gold Pass, and $249 per Platinum Pass. The down payment covers your first month.
    • Down payments are for initial purchase in year 1 only, and are not required after auto-renewal for year 2 for members who go to monthly memberships.

  • How do the monthly payments work in the first year? How much are the monthly payments?
    • Approximately 30 days after your initial purchase, then again every month for 10 more months, your credit card will be automatically charged the monthly payment as noted in your order confirmation which included a copy of your contract language. The final payment for the first year may be slightly lower to account for the division of the balance of your account.
    • The amount of your monthly payment for the first year will be determined by which pass you purchased and the number of passes you purchased. If you only purchase one pass, your payments (depending on product) would be as such:
      • Silver Annual Pass: ($174)
        • 1st month down payment = $119, Month 2 – 11 = $5.00, Month 12 = $5.00
      • Gold Annual Pass: ($289)
        • 1st month down payment = $144, Month 2 – 11 = $13.19, Month 12 = $13.10
      • Platinum Annual Pass: ($569)
        • 1st month down payment = $249, Month 2 – 11 = $29.10, Month 12 = $29.10

  • I already have an Annual/Season Pass, but I didn’t know about FlexPay™. Can I switch to FlexPay™? Can I upgrade to a higher level pass now using FlexPay™?
  • If you already purchased your Annual Pass, we are unable to offer a switch to a FlexPay™ contract within your current term. This includes upgrades.  While you are welcome to upgrade by paying the difference in your current pass and the higher tier pass of your choice, we cannot do so by offering FlexPay™ payments.

I agree to purchase from Universal Studios Hollywood (USH), 100 Universal City Plaza, Universal City, CA 91608, the number of annual pass(es) printed below (“Passes”). I agree that the Passes are valid for twelve (12) months from the date of first visit that I select at the time of purchase, and thereafter will be automatically renewed on a month-to-month basis until I cancel them. I authorize USH to charge my credit card or any valid replacement card I supply in the future, for the term of 12 months from the date of purchase based on the amounts set forth above, and after the 12 month term of my Passes for future payments on a month-to-month basis. I acknowledge that, if any monthly payment by credit card is not completed (or is reversed) at any time during the initial 12 month payment term or during any monthly renewal term thereafter, my Passes may be suspended and I may be refused admission until the remaining balance is paid. If funds available through my credit card account are not sufficient to cover any payment when due, I am responsible for providing USH access to another credit card account to pay the full amount due.

After the initial 12 month term of my Passes expires, the monthly payment may change and will be equal to 1/12 of the then-current annual retail rate for the Passes (which may be rounded up to the nearest dollar). The payment date may also change. USH may also change the terms and features of the Passes, or convert them to a successor product. USH will notify me of any increase in the monthly payment and any material changes to the Passes or a successor product.

I agree that I may not cancel this Agreement during the initial 12 month payment term. After such 12-month term has expired, I may cancel my renewed Passes at any time by contacting USH at 1-866-254-8275 or by logging into my FlexPay™ account at https://ush.recurly.com/account/login and selecting the cancellation option for the account containing my renewed Passes. Such cancellation shall become effective at the end of the then-current monthly renewal term.

I understand that if I submit a valid promo code for a promotional offer for additional month(s) on my Passes, I agree that any such additional months shall be added to my Passes once I have paid for the entire initial 12 month payment term. I further agree that if I do not pay for the entire initial 12 month payment term, the promotional offer, if any, shall be void and I will not receive the additional month(s). I understand that renewal of my Passes on a month-to-month basis will occur at the end of the period including the initial 12 month term of my Passes plus any additional month(s) per the promotional offer. Promotional offers are not renewed.

By providing information USH requests, I agree that USH may contact me via phone or email to let me know about my account offers and events. Purchase limit of 9 Passes per credit card number. USH may sell or transfer this Agreement at any time, but I may not sell or transfer this Agreement.

I agree to purchase and accept, or promise to accept, delivery of the Annual Passes, and agree to pay USH or holder the “Total of Payments” identified above by credit card in accordance with the terms of this Agreement, including the Payment Schedule identified above. In addition to all other obligations in this Agreement, I agree to the following:

Revocation and Suspension: My Annual Passes provide me with revocable privileges which may be changed or cancelled by USH at any time without notice. My Annual Passes may be revoked for any reason, including but not limited to, the suspected purchase of my Annual Passes with an unauthorized credit card, missed payment(s), or if I or anyone for whom I have purchased an Annual Pass under this Agreement uses an Annual Pass for commercial purposes, or engages in activity which USH, in its sole discretion, deems improper, including without limitation, illegal activity or fighting or rowdy behavior at USH’s properties. In the event of revocation, USH or holder will have the right at its election to cancel this Agreement without refund, to continue to collect all amounts due under this Agreement as set forth herein, including all amounts due with respect to a revoked Annual Pass, or, provided that I have or anyone for whom I have purchased an Annual Pass under this Agreement has violated the terms and conditions of this Agreement or of the Annual Passes, to declare the entire balance under this Agreement immediately due and payable. If I or anyone for whom I have purchased an Annual Pass under this Agreement is suspected of violating any provision of this Agreement, any of the Annual Pass terms and conditions, or any other rules, regulations, or policies of USH, USH may suspend the Annual Pass held by such person or persons on a month-to-month basis subject to an investigation of the alleged violation. USH or holder will continue to collect all monthly payments due under this Agreement, including the monthly payment due for the Annual Pass that has been suspended, during any such month of suspension. Upon conclusion of the investigation and depending upon the findings of such investigation, USH may either reinstate the suspended Annual Pass and extend to cover the period of suspension, or immediately revoke the Annual Pass. In any event, USH or holder will continue to collect all amounts due under this Agreement as set forth herein.

Blackout Dates, Address Changes and Replacements: My terms and conditions provide information on days that my Annual Pass is not available for use for admission to the USH theme park, if any. All Annual Pass replacements must be done through the Guest Services lobby within the USH theme park. Address changes can be made either through the Guest Services lobby, by calling USH at 1-866-254-8275 or by logging into my FlexPay™ account at https://ush.recurly.com/account/login and updating my account profile. Any address or other contact information changes will not affect the validity of this Agreement or this Agreement’s applicability to my Annual Pass.

Any dispute or claim relating in any way to this Agreement or the Annual Passes purchased under this Agreement will be resolved by binding arbitration, rather than in court, except that I may assert claims in small claims court if my claims qualify. This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California, provided that The Federal Arbitration Act and federal arbitration law apply to this agreement to arbitrate. There is no judge or jury in arbitration, and court review of an arbitration award is limited. However, an arbitrator can award on an individual basis the same damages and relief as a court (including injunctive and declaratory relief or statutory damages), and must follow the terms of this Agreement as a court would.

To begin an arbitration proceeding, I must send a letter requesting arbitration and describing my claim to USH’s registered agent CT Corporation System, 818 West Seventh Street, Suite 930, Los Angeles, CA 90017. The arbitration will be conducted by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its rules, including the AAA’s Supplementary Procedures for Consumer-Related Disputes. The AAA’s rules are available at www.adr.org or by calling 1-800-778-7879. Payment of all filing, administration and arbitrator fees will be governed by the AAA’s rules. In the event that I am able to demonstrate that the costs of arbitration will be prohibitive as compared to the costs of litigation, USH will pay as much of my filing and hearing fees in connection with the arbitration as the arbitrator deems necessary to prevent the arbitration from being cost-prohibitive, regardless of the outcome of the arbitration, unless the arbitrator determines that my claim(s) are frivolous or asserted in bad faith. Likewise, USH will not seek attorneys’ fees and costs in arbitration unless the arbitrator determines my claim(s) are frivolous or asserted in bad faith. I may choose to have the arbitration conducted by telephone, based on written submissions, or in person in the county where I live or at another mutually agreed location.

We each agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated or representative action . We also each agree that I or you may bring suit in court to enjoin infringement or other misuse of intellectual property rights.

By using USH’s website to purchase and pay for Annual Passes, I consent to enter into the purchase electronically and to receive electronically my contract and disclosures about the purchase (“Documents”). By providing my consent, I confirm that I agree to enter into the transaction electronically and to receive electronically the Documents, which requires that I have a computer with internet access, and the latest version of the Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Firefox or Safari web browser. If I do not provide my consent, I will not be able to complete a purchase using the website. My consent applies only to this particular purchase and associated Documents, and does not apply to any future transactions. I can withdraw my consent by calling USH at 1-866-254-8275, but my withdrawal will not affect the validity of this purchase or my receipt of the Documents. I may ask USH for a free paper copy of the Documents by calling the same number.

I will be asked to provide my address, telephone number, and other information. If that information later changes, I will let USH know by contacting USH at 1-866-254-8275 or by logging into my FlexPay™ account at https://ush.recurly.com/account/login and updating my account profile. By signing below, I acknowledge that I am at least 18 years old and acknowledge having received a copy of this Agreement. I also acknowledge that I have read and understand the terms and conditions and agree to be bound by this Agreement.
