PROMOTION PERIOD: The Universal Studios Hollywood Show Us Your Pets Sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes”) begins at 12:00 p.m. on April 3, 2019 PT on and ends on April 11, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. PT on (“Sweepstakes Period”).  All times in the Sweepstakes refer to Pacific Time (“PT”). All entries received after the Sweepstakes Period will be void.  Sponsor’s computer shall be the official timekeeper for all matters related to this Sweepstakes.

ELIGIBILITY: Open only to permanent, legal U.S. and D.C. (including Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico) residents who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry. Officers, directors, and employees of Sweepstakes Entities, members of these persons’ immediate families (spouses and/or parents, children, and siblings, and their spouses), and/or persons living in the same households as such persons (whether related or not) are ineligible to enter the Sweepstakes. Sweepstakes Entities, as referenced herein, shall include Sponsor and their respective parent, subsidiary, and affiliate companies and administrative, advertising, and promotion agencies and any other entity involved in the development, administration, promotion, or implementation of the Sweepstakes.

HOW TO ENTER – INSTAGRAM:  To enter the Sweepstakes, you must: 1) be a registered member of Instagram and have your account privacy settings set to “OFF”; 2) follow Universal Studios Hollywood on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/unistudios/ 3) upload an original photo of yourself to Instagram, tag @unistudios, and include the hashtag #USHLifeofPets2 to show us a photo of you and your pet to celebrate National Pet Day.

Unlimited entries allowed per person during Sweepstakes Period; each entry must be unique. All comments and/or posts must be on topic and not offensive, demeaning, or derogatory (in Sponsor’s sole and absolute discretion).  If, in the opinion and sole and absolute discretion of Sponsor, the entry violates any law or infringes upon the rights of any third party, is inaccurate, illegible, incomplete or irregular in any way, disparages Sponsor, its products, or any third party, contains any type of inappropriate language, or otherwise does not comply with the Official Rules, Sponsor may immediately remove and disqualify the entry.  If your Instagram account is set to the “Private Account” setting, your Instagram entry may be disqualified and rejected as ineligible for consideration in the Sweepstakes. Message and data rates may apply to each image sent or received. If you do not already have an Instagram account, you can go to www.instagram.com to create a free Instagram account. All entries become the sole property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. By entering the Sweepstakes and/or accepting a prize, you agree to be bound by these Official Rules.

The Sweepstakes is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Instagram. By entering, you understand that you are providing your information to Sponsor and not to Instagram.

ENTRY AND TIMING:  Multiple Entrants are not permitted to share the same email account or social media account. Entries from social media accounts associated with businesses, organizations or groups, as well as bulk or listserv accounts, are not permitted. Any attempt by any Entrant to obtain more than a single entry by using multiple/different social media accounts, email accounts, identities, registrations and logins, or any other methods will void that entrant’s entries and that entrant may be disqualified. Entries that are generated by a script, macro, or use of any other automated system to participate are prohibited and will result in disqualification. In the event of a dispute as to any registration, the authorized account holder of the email account used to register will be deemed to be the entrant. For entries via Instagram, “authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to each account by www.instagram.com. Sponsor reserves the right to deem that the entry was made by the registered subscriber of the account at the time of entry. The potential Winner may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder.

WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION: One (1) potential winner will be selected in a random drawing on or about April 16, 2019 (the “Winner”) by employees or representatives of Sponsor from all eligible entries received during the entire Sweepstakes Period. Sponsor will make two (2) attempts within a one (1) week period to notify the potential Winner via direct message on Instagram. Subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with the terms of these Official Rules, the potential Winner will be declared an official Winner of the Sweepstakes. The decisions of Sponsor are final and binding on all matters relating to this Sweepstakes. Odds of being selected as the Winner will depend on the total number of eligible entries received for the Sweepstakes. Limit one (1) Grand Prize, as defined hereinbelow, per Winner. The Winner is responsible for ensuring that they provide their email addresses upon entry. The Winner may be required to execute and return an affidavit of eligibility, release of liability, and, except where prohibited, publicity release (collectively, “Sweepstakes Documents”) within three (3) days of such notification. Noncompliance within this time period, with these Official Rules or the return of or inability to deliver any prize/prize notification may result in disqualification at Sponsor’s discretion. In the event that the potential Winner is disqualified for any reason, or if a potential Winner cannot be reached, or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, Sponsor will award the applicable prize to an alternate Winner by random drawing from among all remaining eligible entries. Only one (1) alternate drawing will be held after which the prize(s) will remain un-awarded.

GRAND PRIZE: One (1) grand prize will be awarded to the Winner. The grand prize Winner will receive four (4) tickets to a screening of The Secret Life of Pets 2 movie In June 2019 (Grand Prize”). The approximate retail value (“ARV”) of the Grand Prize is Zero Dollars ($0.00).

The Winner must sign a Winner release as a condition of receiving the Grand Prize of this Sweepstakes.

The Grand Prize is non-transferable and non-assignable, with no cash redemptions except at Sponsor’s sole and absolute discretion. No reproductions will be accepted. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute the Grand Prize (or any portion thereof) with one of comparable or greater value at its sole and absolute discretion. The Winner is fully responsible for any and all applicable federal, provincial, state and local taxes (including income and withholding taxes). All costs and expenses associated with the Grand Prize acceptance and use not specified by these Official Rules are the sole responsibility of the Winner.

PRIVACY POLICY:  All information submitted in connection with entry to this Sweepstakes shall be governed by Sponsor’s Privacy Policy at https://www.nbcuniversal.com/privacy/full-privacy-policy. By entering this Sweepstakes, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to Sponsor’s Privacy Policy.

CONDITIONS: By entering the Sweepstakes and/or accepting a prize, each Entrant agrees for Entrant and for Entrant’s heirs, executors, and administrators: (a) to release and hold harmless Sponsor, Instagram and their respective officers, directors and employees (collectively, “Released Parties”) from any liability, illness, injury, death, loss, litigation, or damage that may occur, directly or indirectly, whether caused by negligence or not, from such Entrant’s participation in this Sweepstakes and/or his/her acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of the Grand Prize or any portion thereof (including any travel or activities related thereto); (b) to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the Released Parties from any and all liability resulting or arising from this Sweepstakes and to hereby acknowledge that Released Parties have neither made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation, or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to the Grand Prize, including express warranties provided exclusively by the Grand Prize supplier that are sent along with the Grand Prize; (c) if selected as the Winner, to the entry of such Winner’s name on www.instagram.com/unistudios and the use by the Released Parties of such name, voice, image, and/or likeness for publicity, promotional, and advertising purposes without additional compensation, and, upon request, to the giving of consent, in writing, to such use; and (d) to be bound by these Official Rules and to waive any right to claim any ambiguity or error therein or in this Sweepstakes itself, and to be bound by all actions of the Sponsor, whose decision is binding and final. Failure to comply with these conditions may result in disqualification from this Sweepstakes.

ADDITIONAL TERMS: Sponsor reserves the right to permanently disqualify from any promotion any person they believe has intentionally violated these Official Rules. Any attempt to deliberately damage this Sweepstakes or the operation thereof is unlawful and subject to legal action by Sponsor, who may seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law. The failure of Sponsor to comply with any provision of these Official Rules due to an act of God, hurricane, war, fire, riot, earthquake, terrorism, act of public enemies, actions of governmental authorities outside of the control of Sponsor (excepting compliance with applicable codes and regulations), or other “force majeure” event will not be considered a breach of these Official Rules. The Released Parties assume no responsibility for any injury or damage to entrants’ or to any other person’s computer relating to or resulting from entering or downloading materials or software in connection with this Sweepstakes. The Released Parties are not responsible for telecommunications, network, electronic, technical, or computer failures of any kind; for inaccurate transcription of entry information; for errors in any promotional or marketing materials or in these Official Rules; for any human or electronic error; or for entries that are stolen, misdirected, garbled, delayed, lost, late, damaged, or returned. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, modify, or suspend this Sweepstakes or any element thereof (including, without limitation, these Official Rules) without notice in any manner and for any reason (including, without limitation, in the event of any unanticipated occurrence that is not fully addressed in these Official Rules). In the event of cancellation, modification, or suspension, Sponsor reserves the right to select the Winner in a random drawing from among all eligible, non-suspect entries received at the time of the event warranting such cancellation, modification, or suspension. Notice of such cancellation, modification, or suspension will be posted at www.instagram.com/unistudios. Sponsor may prohibit the Winner or potential Winner from participating in this Sweepstakes, if such Winner or potential Winner shows a disregard for these Official Rules or acts 1) with an intent to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass any other entrant, Sponsor, or Sponsors’ agents or representatives; or 2) in any other disruptive manner (as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion).

DISPUTES: This Sweepstakes is governed by, and will be construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of California, excluding its conflicts of law rules, and the forum and venue for any dispute shall be in Los Angeles, California. Any dispute, controversy or claim arising from or relating to this Sweepstakes shall be resolved by final and binding arbitration administered by JAMS in accordance with its Streamlined Arbitration Rules and Procedures or subsequent versions thereof (“JAMS Rules”). The JAMS Rules for selection of an arbitrator shall be followed, except that the arbitrator shall be experienced and licensed to practice law in Los Angeles, California.  All proceedings brought pursuant to this paragraph will be conducted in the County of Los Angeles, California.  THE REMEDY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL BE LIMITED TO ACTUAL DAMAGES, AND IN NO EVENT SHALL ANY PARTY BE ENTITLED TO RECOVER PUNITIVE, EXEMPLARY, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING ATTORNEY’S FEES OR OTHER SUCH RELATED COSTS OF BRINGING A CLAIM, OR TO RESCIND THIS AGREEMENT OR SEEK INJUNCTIVE OR ANY OTHER EQUITABLE RELIEF. ANY AND ALL DISPUTES, CLAIMS AND CAUSES OF ACTION ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THIS SWEEPSTAKES, OR ANY PRIZE AWARDED, MUST BE RESOLVED INDIVIDUALLY, WITHOUT RESORT TO ANY FORM OF CLASS ACTION OR CLASS ARBITRATION. ENTRANT WAIVES ANY RIGHT TO BRING CLAIMS AS A REPRESENTATIVE OR AS A MEMBER OF A CLASS OR IN A PRIVATE ATTORNEY GENERAL CAPACITY.
