Be part of Hollywood’s biggest New Year’s Eve celebration at Universal Studios Hollywood’s EVE event this December 31. Fill your day with heart-pounding rides and attractions, then party til 2am with music, dancing, photo-ops and a special midnight countdown celebration with fireworks.

Dance the night away at any of our three live entertainment areas until 2am:
- “Latin Beats” – Latin favorites near Revenge of the Mummy – The Ride
- “Electric New Year” – Electronic Dance Music at Simpsons Plaza
- “Rock the Night” – Pop/Rock/Hip-Hop tunes at Universal Plaza.
Join family and friends for a special countdown celebration to midnight as you ring in 2020 with three synchronized fireworks displays throughout the park.
Get yourself camera-ready and be sure to visit our EVE-themed photo-opportunities located throughout the Park.
At each party area, you can enjoy an assortment of specialty cocktails, beer, wine, and champagne – available for purchase. And don’t forget to get your glow items and other memorabilia to join in the fun!

What is EVE?
EVE, Hollywood’s biggest New Year’s Eve event is back at Universal Studios Hollywood. Fill your day with heart-pounding rides and attractions and then continue into the night with music, dancing, drinks and a special countdown celebration at midnight with family, friends and fireworks as you ring in 2020!
What are the event hours?
The park will be open from 9:00am to 2:00am. EVE entertainment will begin at 9:00pm and continue until 2:00am. All rides and attractions will close at 1:00am, select rides and attractions will close early. Don’t miss the fireworks at 12:00am midnight.
What is included in the EVE entertainment?
In addition to the rides and attractions, there will be three live DJ party areas featuring music, dancing, drinks and a special midnight countdown celebration with fireworks as you ring in 2020. Also, The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts™ Castle in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ will have extended hours.
Does my daytime park admission allow me to stay for EVE?
Yes, this event is included with valid admission to the park. Guests are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance at www.universalstudioshollywood.com or at the Front Gate Ticket Booths on the day of event.
Is there an age minimum for the event?
There is no age minimum for the event.
Are there age-restricted areas during the event?
Guests of all ages are welcome throughout the park.
Can I use my Annual Pass/Season Pass to experience EVE?
Available dates vary by pass type. Please check the eligible dates on your pass to confirm availability.
If my Annual Pass/Season Pass is blacked out, can I still buy tickets to experience EVE?
Yes, there are special prices for pass members and their friends and family available through the Pass Member portal.
Is there a VIP Experience?
Yes, Ultimate EVE is the best way to experience the party at EVE featuring EXCLUSIVE lounge access with buffet dining and Champagne Toast at midnight. Ultimate EVE is not included in the Daytime VIP Experience.
Can I leave the park and come back later in the evening?
Yes, re-entries are permitted. Valid handstamp and ticket required for re-entry.
If it rains, will the event be cancelled?
Event occurs rain or shine. However, certain entertainment elements may be subject to cancellation depending on severity of weather.
Will all rides and attractions be open during the event?
Yes, most will be open all day, except for select early closures. Please check the Official Universal Studios Hollywood Park mobile app or in-park signage for the most up-to-date closure times for each ride and attraction. All rides and attractions will close at 1:00am with select rides and attractions closing earlier.
Where is the best place to view the fireworks?
There will be multiple areas designated for fireworks viewing. Please check for locations upon your arrival.
Will there be food available at the event?
Yes, the majority of dining locations will remain open.
Is alcohol served at the event?
Yes, alcohol will be available for purchase at select locations throughout the park. Must be 21 years or older with Valid photo ID to purchase or consume alcohol.
